Privacy notice
Effective October 23, 2026
This notice explains what personal information Spinglass Inc. (“Spinglass”, “we”, “us”) collects through www.spinglass.co, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only, not the Spinglass product, which customers run in their own environments under their own agreements with us.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you request a briefing, we collect your work email address, your organization, the role you select, anything you write about the problem you are trying to fix, and the page you sent the request from.
Information collected automatically. We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or similar technologies on this website, and we store nothing in your browser. The services that deliver the site receive the technical information any website request carries, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested:
- Cloudflare hosts and serves the website, and processes request data to deliver and protect it.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that briefing requests come from a person rather than an automated program. It processes information about your browser and device to do so.
- PostHog measures how the website is used, so we can see which pages are read and how visitors find us. It records the pages you view, the page that referred you, your browser, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address. It discards the IP address once the location is derived and does not identify you. We do not combine it with briefing requests.
To protect the briefing form from abuse, we also keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to two hours, to limit how many requests can be sent from one address.
How we use it
We use briefing requests only to respond to you, arrange and hold the conversation you asked for, and keep a record of our correspondence. We do not use them for advertising, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that operate on our behalf: Amazon Web Services, which receives and delivers briefing requests to us, Cloudflare, which hosts the site and checks requests for abuse, PostHog, which measures how the site is used, and our email provider. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Authorities or others where the law requires it, or where needed to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- A successor if Spinglass is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this notice.
How long we keep it
We keep briefing requests and related correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain any resulting business relationship, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw from any further contact at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights:
- California residents may request access to and deletion or correction of their personal information, and will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
- People in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland may also object to or restrict our processing, request a copy of their information in a portable format, and complain to their local data protection authority. We process briefing requests because we have a legitimate interest in responding to them, and to take steps you ask for before entering into an agreement.
To make a request, email us at founders@spinglass.co. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
Where we process it
Spinglass is based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
